Editorial policy
Written so a reader - or a reviewer - can check our work against our sources.
The five rules
- Verified or absent. A number appears only if it was read from a published source on a stated date; otherwise the page says a quote is needed.
- No scraped prose. Competitor pages inform our topic coverage through keyword and ranking data. No text is copied or paraphrased from them.
- Answer first. The first block answers the question; the detail follows.
- Actionable or unpublished. Every guide ends in a checklist, a number to ask for, or a human handoff - not a summary of a summary.
- Corrections in the open. Report a mistake and the fix is noted on the page with the date.
How pages are produced and reviewed
Long-form pages are assembled from the published verified resources plan snapshot, the verified help procedures in our knowledge base and the real search phrasings for the topic. A person then reviews the page for tone, for whether each claim is supported by a named source, and for whether it would actually help someone at 9 pm with no signal. Automated assembly is used for composition only - never to invent a fact.
Independence
Operators pay us nothing to publish what we publish. If that ever changes for a page, the page will say so at the top.
