Du home internet
Nine times out of ten a dead du line is the optical signal, not your Wi-Fi. Look at the router: a solid or blinking red LOS/light means no signal is reaching your home, so the fix is at the ONT or the street cabinet and needs du to reschedule a technician. If the power and WAN lights are green and only Wi-Fi is dead, it is local and you can fix it yourself.

Steps
- Check the light pattern first: power, WAN/optical, Wi-Fi. Red optical = line fault, not a settings problem.
- Restart once - unplug the router for 30 seconds, not 5, then wait 3 minutes for the ONT to re-register.
- Look for a known outage in your area before touching settings (du app > support, or the status thread for your building).
- If the optical cable or the small white ONT box was knocked (cleaning, moving furniture), reseat the blue-tipped fibre connector gently - never bend it.
- Still red after a reboot? Open the du app and raise a fault so the ticket timestamp starts now; escalate to us on WhatsApp and we will chase the job number.
